Thanksgiving has Passed . . .

Thanksgiving 2007 has passed.
I'm left feeling..a bit uncomfortable.
OH
don't get me wrong. We had family and a great time.
The dinner table was overflowing.
Still, today, the fridge is jammed.
We all know there are families in our midst who are not as lucky.
Good folks barely getting by.
Right after the huge meal . . .
someone found a competition on the TV.
Holy Cow, it was the Super Bowl of competitive eating.
Eat a 20 pound turkey in eight minutes.
Gobble down pounds of cranberry sauce.
They would stuff - and I mean stuff it - in . . .
and sometimes it was trying to come right back up...GROSS.
How about that family that couldn't afford a 20 pound turkey.
We remember those people during holidays.
Now let's try to remember them...everyday.
