Odds and Ends

At this writing Sam, our Sports Director, was out with a Tummy Ache.  Actually its more serious than that.  So I hope we have him back soon.

Also Geoff in the newsroom is also out sick...again.  We'll be better when they're back.

Curvis Rhyne was a long time Alliance City Councilman.   He worked very hard for his ward and in the longer run all of us.  He was sent here as a boy from..I believe...Alabama.  He got off the bus with little more than the clothes on his back. I believe it was an Aunt or Uncle who gave Curvis a roof over his head.  Someone, maybe them folks, gave him a desire to help his people. Folks on the city's north side. Poor folks who found few ears at City Hall. Some of my friends would make jokes about him.  If they had walked a few miles in Curvis shoes they would admire the man as I do.  Now we need someone else in that community to step forward.

As for the Papparrazi....I dislike, not them, but the media that pays them to get in peoples faces. When 2 choppers both feeding like frenzy on a highway chase collide ?    And I'm reminded of how Princess Diana died.   News for profit..sucks

More when I cool down.

chain-sawing in the middle of the night.
Mary, A little Lamm and the Spider
Some of the hardest working people at this radio station are NOT heard over the airwaves.

Teen Pregnancies - Vigilantes And The Steelers
Well - the photos are at the supermarket; OK, magazines pay a bundle for the rights.
Turn It Down!
I'm convinced that some TV commercials "jack up the volume."
